Blanc Burgers & Bottles

The creative team behind The Drop -- Eddie Crane, Ernesto Peralta, Jenifer Price and chef Josh Eans -- have painted the interior of this Westport storefront a gleaming white and stacked the refrigerators with bottles of imported beer and fancy soda pop. The food menu isn't elaborate: four salads, 10 burgers and a trio of sides (deep-fried onion rings, fries and sweet-potato fries served in toy shopping carts). But the burgers are superb -- particularly the Classic, the blue-cheese-filled Inside Out Burger and the spicy Buffalo Burger. It's a modern spin on the diner concept, though the only thing resembling dessert is a selection of thick malts and shakes made with Foo's Fabulous Frozen Custard.
