The American Cancer Society's Cattle Baron's Ball 2008

The American Cancer Society's 27th annual Cattle Baron's Ball 2008 is scheduled Saturday, August 23rd, at the Westin Crown Center. The theme of this year's ball is "Denim and Diamonds," and includes a silent auction with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m., dinner and speaking program with guest emcee Elizabeth Alex from NBC Action News at 8 p.m., an extraordinary live auction at 9 p.m., and a live musical performance from 10:30 p.m. to midnight. The event is being sponsored by Time Warner Cable, NBC Action News, and KC Magazine. Tickets are $250.00 per person or $2,500.00 per table of 10. The goal is set for raising $290,000 net proceeds to directly support The American Cancer Society's mission "eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service."
