When skater extraordinaire Tony Hawk does something, he does it his way. He pioneered his own skating moves, built his own HuckJam brand from the ground up and named his annual skating tour something so goofy that it's inspiring. Fans can easily forgive him for the ridiculously named Boom Boom HuckJam. He is, after all, a legend.Get hip to Hawk's style tonight in the Kemper Arena parking lot (1800 Genessee). He'll perform his signature moves, and other extreme athletes will trick off a giant half-pipe and special ramps. On the program: BMX pros John Parker and Kevin Robinson, motocross racers Drake McElroy and fellow skateboarders Sergie Ventura and Neal Hendrix. The all-ages skating action begins at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $35. For more information, see kemperarenakc.com or call 816-513-4000.
