What do corn chips, George Carlin, Fred Phelps, Kirk Cameron and Vaseline have to do with one another?Ew. No, that's not it. They're all references sprinkled like confetti through songs from Mac Lethal's most recent album, 11:11. Mac's known for inducing gasps of recognition from the audience when he makes these pop-culture references, as when he raps about his addiction to Chipotle burritos or his hatred of Oak Park Mall. Find yourself among the gasping hordes when Mac performs an all-ages show tonight at the Beaumont Club (4050 Pennsylvania, 816-561-2560). He'll be joined by vinyl murderer DJ Sku, who models some mean merch on Mac Lethal's MySpace page (myspace.com/maclethal); and Grieves, a Chicago-born, Colorado-raised, Seattle-dwelling rapper with his own love of tongue-twisting lyricism.
