The team the Royals would like to become visits the K on Thursday. The Tampa Bay Rays are everything Royals fans have been promised but has never come to fruition: a young, exciting team built from a strong farm system and shrewd trading. The Rays take on the Royals at 7:10 p.m., continuing Tampa's attempt to make the playoffs for the first time. The Rays' Evan Longoria and Carlos Peña are two terrific power hitters playing for the sport's most exciting young team. If a playoff-bound baseball team doesn't do much for you, the Royals are also giving out pink-and-white rhinestoned caps to the first 20,000 females through the gates for "Girls' Night Out."
